School AssembliesWe have weekly assemblies for either K-2 and 3-6 (which are organised and conducted by a rostered class) or the whole school (which is organised and conducted by the Prefects). These assemblies are held in the school hall. Our school also conducts special assemblies to commemorate ANZAC Day, NAIDOC Week, Education Week and academic achievements. The Lyrebird Club was formed to support defence students by involving them in a range of activities. The DSTA can also assist by providing information for out of school activities such as Cubs, Scouts, Guides or sporting groups. Feedback parents of Defence students has been very positive with many saying having extra support at school has made things easier, especially with younger students. Students appreciate that the DSTA is available for support and new parents to the school also like the fact that there is someone at school who understands their unique family needs. Anyone who requires assistance can contact Mrs Matheson at school to arrange an appointment.
